In order to shift to sustainable consumption and production, all actors in the value chain need to know which legislation is applicable for each activity, including “end of waste” activities. This guidance is helpful for recyclers or manufacturers of recycled material to clarify legal requirements as well as strategies to sustainable circular economy. For all actors in the supply chains, information about the chemical content and traceability is crucial to be able to produce safe products from recycled materials to a greater extent. Access to information is a prerequisite for well-founded and safe decisions to be made at various stages in the supply chain.
