A Just Transition Framework for South Africa

The framework presents a shared vision for an equitable, climate-resilient South Africa as it defines the principles and policy areas for achieving climate change objectives in the country.

The Framework is positioned at the nexus of climate and development issues in South Africa, thereby supporting South Africa's broad efforts to redesign the economy for the benefit of most citizens to enable adeep, just and transformational shifts in the context of delivering an effective response to climate change, improving resilience, making a substantial cut to greenhouse gas emissions, protecting and promoting the health of communities.
