The lunchidee pilot project promotes a healthier and more sustainable food culture by serving up delicious lunches, accompanied by inspiring and thought-provoking tools that encourage a positive change in eating habits. lunchidee inspires changes in everyday food decisions and provides an attractive platform for information, inspiration and exchange for guests, gastronomy and the public. How it works: Every month, restaurants receive a pack of resources to help them to consider how relevant health and sustainability topics, such as reducing food waste, promoting plant based food such as pulses and local and seasonal vegetables or reducing salt and sugar in their recipes, relate to their business operations. Restaurateurs use this information to create tasty, balanced, environmentally friendly and socially responsible lunchidee meals. At lunch customers are supported to make healthier and more sustainable food decisions by choosing accentuated lunchidee meals and are encouraged to take action by finding out more about the topic of the month on the website and trying out the practical tips printed on their placemats. Impact and results are published in spring 2020. Linking-up, support, sponsorship, funding the continuation of the pilote project after September 2020.
