Manuel Abreu

I am Manuel Abreu, Venezuelan, currently living in Madrid, Chemical Engineer with MBA and a Master in Food S&T, as a professional I have always been linked to industry and research, applying my technical knowledge to improve processes and products reducing the same time the impact on nature. Since childhood I was a volunteer at Scouts of Venezuela Association (SVA) for 15 years, there I learned to love nature and maintain a sustainable lifestyle, also as an adult Scout I was in charge of some environmental education activities and was in charge of the biggest communication program of SVA, then I participated as SCP FP for the Science-Policy Interface of UN-MGCY for two years, and as SCP Regional Focal Point for LAC of UN-MGCY for two more years, where I learned a lot about the vision of youth and childhood in the region.Nowadays, I am part of United Nations Sustainable Lifestyles and Education Program internship 2021-2022 cohort.
