Herost is promoting travel experiences that are good for people and the planet, with a particular focus on eco-friendly accommodations such as eco-lodges, as well as agritourism, community-based tourism, ecotourism, spiritual tourism, and well-being activities such as hiking, retreats, forest/sea/water therapy, yoga, etc.

To boost our awareness-raising and outreach activities, we have implemented a Global Youth Ambassadors program.

Through our international network of consultants and partners, we are offering consulting and training services for the sustainable development, management and marketing of tourism destinations, businesses and experiences.

Our story

The initial concept of Herost was created in early 2019 by Catherine GERMIER-HAMEL, a French impact Entrepreneur and Consultant living in Korea since 2005. Based on her international expertise in sustainable tourism development and marketing, she wanted to design a practical, innovative solution to increase the positive contribution of tourism to the host communities and their environments. As a result, she first developed Herost as a solution of Millennium Destinations, the consulting and training company she founded in Seoul Korea, in 2016. In 2021, Catherine was appointed CEO of Destination Mekong, effective 1 November.

Subsequently, Louis HAAG, Shinobu HAYAMA and eventually Hortense SERRET joined the Herost adventure as Co-Founders and now as Advisors.

Since then, Herost has become a global community of hosts and travelers willing to make a positive change trough promoting tourism experiences that are good for people and the planet.
