Institute for Balkan Studies

The Institute is a national scientific organization, with a interdisciplinary studies of  all Balkan countries (history, development, economy, culture, transportation, infrastructure in historical context and modern and contemporary times, etc.).  Publications cover wide range of knowledge and scientific research on the Bakans, including security issues, energy security and environmental rirsks for the region. Some scholars, including me, deliver lecture courses in the Academy and in Bulgarian Universities, dealing with specific aspects of energy and environmental topics (for example my Black Sea security course which partly focus on environmental issues of the Black sea).
